Thought I'd show you How to get a Name (URL / Web Address) for your Facebook Page or Group I thought I would show you all how to get a name for your facebook page or group. How to setup a facebook business page with your very own facebook URL. This one is important because it then uses facebook.com/PageNameHere so it's easy to give out and can be included on business cards and things. Firstly the page, go to settings on the page management screen. Then on the settings and privacy page, click PAGE SETUP. Then on the page setup screen click NAME at the top. And if Facebook allows you to change your page URL it will be on the next screen underneath the page name itself.

Tilers Talk BB, the new Tilers Bulletin Board, will share the content you post to Facebook. We share it on the Tilers Talk BB Group, and Tilers Talk BB Page, and to TilersTalk.co.uk/bb here. Which then gets shared out to Tilers Forums and the Facebook page for Tilers Forums. So, posting one post on your brand page should reach thousands more views, if not hundreds of thousands of views (over the space of months). Because unlike Facebook, content on a forum doesn't drop off the list forever.

This is our facebook group for Tilers Talk BB. There are some others though too so by all means, join them all and make them work for you. You need to be in all groups to use them to your advantage really. Post pictures of all your past jobs to them, use them to find the best trade prices on products you need over the next 6 - 12 weeks. Plan ahead, that'll pay dividends for the little time you need ordering all your stuff in bulk every 12 weeks or so. Enjoy this free bulletin board here, you don't need to register to post. Hopefully it'll get used well by manufacturers and the likes. Wet room tile backer board installation Hi, i'm new to this forum but looks to be great advice. Just getting to the end of a long build & working on a wet room, budget not the same as I started with but want to do a good job. I've not used tile backer boards before so a few, perhaps obvious questions, sorry if you've answered these before😊. Heading to using Jackoboard Plano on the stud walls has good recommendations from you all -most likely use large format tiles on top having read it has good load bearing strength. OK? 20mm board at 600 centres, 12.5 at 300 mm centres - will need extra studwork but needs to be properly supported. No PB, direct onto the wood studs. A few questions please as I only want to do this job once 😊 1)...

Natural Quartzite Split Face Stone Tiles Hi all Before I buy these splitface tiles for a small external retaining wall which has damp comming through all the time. To hopefully finally sort the damp issue the plan is to plastic batten the wall at 400mm centers, then no more ply 12mm onto them with SBR on all sides (as recommended by No More Ply directly)....all using stainless steel screws ...Just wondering what adhesive would be recommended for these stone tiles. I know it has to be flexible adhesive and the tiles probably back buttered (I think you call it). I just dont know if there is a special outdoor rated tile adhesvive. Two small damp patches Can we tile over two small damp patches in the bathroom? We know the cause and it has been dealt with (chimney was missing cowl’s) these have since been put on. We’ve been renovating the house and had it newly plastered last year. Everything is new except the exterior walls. We’re trying to move in shortly and have tiled the bathroom except this corner which has two slight damp patches which have been reducing in size and dampness there were three but the 3rd has completely dried. New shower I'm fitting a new shower, 3 walls and a sliding door in a frame. The tray will be tanked to the wall with tanking tape, then tiled. I've read in a few places to seal the between try the tray and tile where the frame meets the wall before adding the door frame so that water can't get behind. That bit I get. What I'm struggling with is after fitting the frame I should seal around the outside of it. But on the bottom corners it will be Silicon over the first Silicon seal. Gap between tiles and worktop Good evening. Im not sure if this is the best place to ask this but I'm looking fir some advice on what to do about a gap between the worktop and tiles. Long story short I've a gap of around 9mm between the tiles and worktop. The reason I've ended up with this gap is due to the window by the sink. So I end up with a full tile beneath the sill rather then a cut tile as its got corner trim i thought this would look better and work out ok with Silicon. but after doing it I'm not happy with it as one the Silicon isn't perfect and I'm going to re do it. Bad tiling job Hello, we were wondering if anyone could help us please. We have had a bathroom fitted in August this year and it has been a disaster. Nothing works in it now. The pump is broken due to not fitted properly as is the heated towel rail. W e did have a lovely gentleman look at the tiling and was going to write us a report saying how badly it was.. he changed his mind due to knowing who did the tiling!! Solid wall preparation for tiling Hi All Looking for advice on prep for rendered and plastered walls.... have taken old tiles off and its taken large chunks of plater and render off the walls. How do you guys go about preparing this for tiling? Do you just patch the holes and then prime and go for it? If so, what do you normally use to patch holes? Or do you prefer to go for a full skim? Or ive even thought about overboarding with 6mm waterproof board!! But thats a lot more time and money! And my only thoughts with fully skimming it is drying times causing delays! Advice on what is wrong Hi all I paid for a damaged tile to be replaced in a bathroom of my rental property in Aug 23. (The brief was to make the area water tight by replacing and re-sealing where needed.) The work was completed and monies paid. (£300) All was good, or so I thought. Due to issues with communication from the letting agent I discovered in June last year, less than 12 months on, that the new tiling had failed. The contractor said its ‘wear and tear’ and have provided photos of the work on the day of completion stating it was done to an acceptable standard & they will not return to put it right. Would you be interested in a regular tile industry podcast? There's a podcast by TTA and I think BAL on facebook which was alright. Only short, 2 parter. (Links on the Tilers Talk BB Facebook page to it). And Smithy (who owns the Facebook group) asked them if they had any others coming and BAL said let's ask people and see. So would you listen to either maybe 1 x 1hr per month one, or maybe a 15 minute one each week? I think it'd be nice hear who's behind the products and hear training departments speak about their products, even speak to Tilers who have won competitions (tta awards etc). Never ever seen a tiler with a floor sander in their hands but apparently Pro Tiler Tools have some in stock so all of a sudden Tilers Community is full of people asking about this brand of them that nobody has ever heard of before. "Best investment I ever made" says one tiler. He must have got a free one :D Never had to even hire one let alone buy one.

What is you experience with either, or even lucky enough to have both makes maybe and prefer one cutter over then other for some types of tile or score/cut. And the other make perhaps reliable with tough long tile and thin cuts? What's your flavour? Rubi Tile Cutters or Sigma Tile Cutters? Or maybe even something else??

A bit of advice that has massively helped my business over the last 3 years. If you haven't already done it, smash your local Facebook pages with advertising. This period in between Xmas and new year is by far the most successful social media advertising time. Everyone is looking at making changes in the new year and looking for upgrades to their house.
