Tilers Talk BB: Advice on what is wrong - Tilers Forums: Advice on what is wrong
Hi all
I paid for a damaged tile to be replaced in a bathroom of my rental property in Aug 23. (The brief was to make the area water tight by replacing and re-sealing where needed.)
The work was completed and monies paid. (£300) All was good, or so I thought.
Due to issues with communication from the letting agent I discovered in June last year, less than 12 months on, that the new tiling had failed. The contractor said its ‘wear and tear’ and have provided photos of the work on the day of completion stating it was done to an acceptable standard & they will not return to put it right.
No other tiling in that area has failed.
Can anyone explain to me what has happened from the photos? I now have extensive water damage to ceilings below amongst other issues as a result.
Any advice much appreciated. Photos attached 1st is pre work 2nd/3rd post work taken by contractors, 4th/5th taken May24
